Helping Hands

The Adventurers, Discoverers and Investigators used their Helping Hands and picked up rubbish from around Shotover Country Estate. They found an amazing amount rubbish and some cool irrigation pipes that will be chopped up and used at Town Time.

Thank you to all the parents who came and supported us, carried the big bits and kept us all safe.

Another big thank you to Sharyn and Grant Stalker who gave all those children who helped an ice block for their efforts.

The Joy of Star Wars

At Maths time we are learning using Star Wars cards. We are picking 2 cards and adding them together, or taking them away. We are also learning to order numbers by picking 5 cards and putting them in order from the smallest to the biggest and biggest to the smallest.

Puppets and Parfaits

We, the Explorers and Discoverers, shared our learning about mechanisms. We created puppets using a simple mechanism.  We performed a song from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, "Doll On A Music Box/Truly Scrumptious".

The puppet making process was very challenging. A lot of us had to start from scratch more than once as our puppets weren't big enough.
