These Are The People In Our Neighbourhood

We celebrated our concept learning today. We have been learning about the different people in our community and how they help us.
Skippers stepped into the kitchen and made fruit kebabs. We know that chefs are people in our community who make food for others and bring them joy.
We also filmed our scenes for our concept movies. Thank you to the parents and kids for the efforts with dress ups, you all looked fabulous! We felt so safe at school today because we had so many firefighters and policemen/policewomen to look after us.

WOW the progress in the Ice Skating from week 1 to week 2 has been amazing. The children are persevering and working hard to learn to skate. They are using their growth mindset and getting up and carrying on when they fall over!

After reading Bartholomew and the Oobleck we found out that when you squeezed our Oobleck it went hard. If you let it go it went runny again. 

Others made wheelchairs from our seating pebbles and chairs and were curious about wheelchair basketball.

There was lots of slipping and sliding today! Everyone persevered and used their Growth Mindset!

Anna the Veterinarian

Anna came in to talk to the Adventurers and Discoverers about how a Vet helps the community.

As part of her job Anna uses an X-ray machine to help work out what is wrong.

Anna also helps out farmers. In these photos she is helping a sheep give birth.
